Charles is currently a law clerk at BFS Law Group. He attends Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and is expected to graduate in May 2014. Charles played professional basketball in Europe from 2001 to 2008 in Spain, Sweden, Belgium, Poland, Cyprus, Germany, and Turkey and speaks conversational Spanish and German. After retiring from basketball and before attending law school, Charles worked as a computer forensic investigator in Plano, Texas. In November 2010, he gave expert witness testimony in a family law case in front of the 429th District Court in Collin County Texas.

Shortly after coming to work for BFS Law Group in April, 2012, Charles and BFS Law Group started the International Basketball Players Association (IBPA), which helps basketball players, coaches, and agents collect money owed to them by international basketball clubs. BFS Law Group acts as the players’, coaches’, and agents’ legal representation in international arbitration proceedings in front of the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal in Geneva, Switzerland. During the summer of 2013 Charles clerked for Judge Gena Slaughter in the 191st District Court in Dallas County. Charles’s diverse life experiences have prepared him well for a career in law.
